Maria Bencic releases a unique genre of worship songs with lyrics inspired by the "Song of Songs”. Her latest song 'Le dodi', is a reference to Song of Songs 6:3a. For centuries, many phrases from King Solomon's Song of Songs have been used at weddings. Maria relates this particular phrase (L'Dodi - or better yet in full: "Ani L’Dodi V’Dodi Li") to her relationship with Christ. The tones are produced by a single harp. English and Hebrew, together with Maria's old-time singing style, produce a sound that is reminiscent of ancient music.
