Fr Mark Baumgarten - A Newborn King (Christmas)

Fr Mark Baumgarten - A Newborn King
Fr Mark Baumgarten has released a Christian Christmas (CCM) track called 'A Newborn King'.

The Christmas season is a time of joy, but it can also be a time of great anxiety. We're all trying to make our lives better, but it can be difficult to know how to do that when our world seems so full of pain.

In this new song by Fr Mark Baumgarten, we get a glimpse into the struggle between cynicism and hope.

Fr Mark is a priest and musician from Perth, Australia. The song has been produced by Fr Mark Baumgarten on the piano and lead vocal, Naya Chorale, St Mary’s Cathedral Choir, Graeme Bell (bass), Andre Bourgault du Coudray (trombone), and Simon Groves (trumpet).

My favorite part of the lyrics is where Fr Mark sings: 'There's a newborn King, who's turned everything upside down. But 'pretender kings' are still clinging to their crowns... and so am I. Yet still the star, it shines on a weary world. And still our hearts, they pine for a priceless pearl of hope for us all.'

About Fr Mark Baumgarten:
Fr Mark Baumgarten is an Australian Catholic priest from the Archdiocese of Perth. He is a self-taught pianist who worked as a musician before entering seminary, and the 2020 lockdown inspired him to return to songwriting.

Jonas Lozano - Cross (CCM)

'Cross', is an uplifting song by Jonas Lozano, and a joyful expression of faith and love for Jesus. Jonas shared that he wanted to create something that was energetic, lively, and easy to remember, even for children. The lyrics of this song are simple yet profound. It expresses the gratitude and love that Jonas feels for Jesus and the sacrifice that He made for us all. It reminds us of the power of the cross and the love that we have been given through it. The song is meant to stick in your head, and be easy to sing along to. It's a song that will make you want to celebrate your faith. Part of the lyrics that stayed in my head after listening to the song is: 'You are my righteousness / My Holiness / Complete Forgiveness / Words cannot express / how much You mean to me / and all You did for me' We encourage you to listen to 'Cross' and share it with others. Jonas's message of faith and love is one that needs to be heard and shared. So, don't wait any

Emanuel Harrold - Shine Light (Gospel)

'Shine Light,' Emanuel Harrold's new single, is a powerful and moving prayer for guidance and clarity. Written at a time when the artist's view of happiness was no longer as clear as it once was. In the words of Emanuel: 'In that thought, I ask God to shine light on me. Not for fame or popularity, but in the notion of showing me the way with clarity I should go. The actual direction I should walk into, in a practical sense.' The song's lyrics perfectly capture this sentiment, as the singer asks for God's grace and love to guide him through difficult times and to see his way forward. The repeated refrain of 'Shine light on me' is a plea for direction and understanding. But 'Shine Light' is more than just a song for those in a dark place. It is a reminder to all of us that we all need a little help and support from time to time. The lyrics remind us to pause and appreciate the beauty around us, and connect with our inner selves in order to

Amanda Nolan - Broken Pieces (CCM)

We've most likely all had times in our lives when we felt broken and shattered, as if there was no way to put the pieces back together. Amanda explains that her song is about God reshaping the broken pieces of our lives into something better than they were before. She says: 'When we feel we are a lost cause, Jesus picks us up piece by piece and makes us a masterpiece through closeness with Him. He picked up all of my broken pieces, and he can do the same for yours.' The song's lyrics beautifully express this message. Amanda sings about the broken pieces of her heart scattered on the floor and how God can use broken pieces to create something beautiful. She sings, 'I give You all my broken pieces, with You I know I can leave it. You're the God of stained glass miracles, You're making all things beautiful.' Amanda continues to sing about how God sees the beauty in scars and the art in broken pieces. Every masterpiece is actually made up of broken pieces, a
