Darnell Peters and Beverly Burton - I Am Enough (CCM)

Darnell Peters and Beverly Burton have released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'I Am Enough'.

Darnell writes: "This song was inspired by my daughter. Being a girl dad I know a lot of the things she will face in society. Being told she isn't pretty enough, smart enough, strong enough, worthy enough. One of her favorite books to read was titled I Am Enough by Grace Byers. So I wanted to create my own way to tell her that through Christ, she is enough, and He can use her to do incredible things. So on those days when the world tried to run her down, she can remember "daddy's song" and sing in the mirror I am enough.

I know many other people struggle with thoughts of being unqualified, or unworthy of God's calling on their life. I myself struggle with these thoughts as well. So this song is meant to inspire, uplift, and encourage, to put down the lies, and pursue the dreams and visions God has put on their heart."

Lyrics:

Intro:
Darnell Peters and Beverly Burton - I Am Enough
To anyone who's ever felt like they are worthless and can't measure up
Listen, God wants you to know His power is made perfect in your weakness, in Him
you are more than enough

Verse

To you there's no such thing as broken
No small amount you cannot use
So take my pieces, make the picture
Of all that's possible with you

Pre-Chorus

If five loaves can feed five thousand
If the dirt can heal the blind
If a small stone can slay giants
How much more can I become
If I was made in your image
If my worth rests on your love
You can use me as I am

Chorus

I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah

Verse 2

To you there's no such thing as worthless
You pull the great out from the least
So I will gladly boast my weakness
So Jesus you can be my strength

Pre-Chorus

If five loaves can feed five thousand
If the dirt can heal the blind
If a small stone can slay giants
How much more can I become
If I was made in your image
If my worth rests in your love
You can use me as I am

Chorus

I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah

Bridge

Amazing, strange to say
Crazy, you make me sane
I ain't the same, by faith I claim
Eternal life, can't complain
I had low self-worth and I know why
Didn't see the truth and I won't lie
Left your love, didn't know right
Doing my own thing my whole life
That was mean disorder
But Lord you put some things in order
You call me friend and if that means I don't thirst again
I'll drink the water
Now what you say I'll do
Not my will but it's all about you
So I'm never alone God
You let me know I'm enough to be used by You

Pre-Chorus

If five loaves can feed five thousand
If the dirt can heal the blind
If a small stone can slay giants
How much more can I become
If I was made in your image
If my worth rests in your love
You can use me as I am

Chorus

I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah
I Am Enough oh yeah
