Home Sweet Homes - Oversimplify (CCM)

Home Sweet Homes has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'Oversimplify'. This song originated from a spontaneous jam session. After that, the band spent 9 months rewriting and recording it. Eleven musicians were involved in its creation and recording. The song is written specifically for Christians, particularly those who are lukewarm and need to be reminded not to take Jesus' sacrifice for granted. This is a song that immediately gets you thinking, as it raises questions that every Christian should be asking themselves... Have we simplified the cross too much? Are we making the cross appear more beautiful than it was? Do we really understand what it means to be free (the kind of freedom Christ has given us)? I personally don't believe this will ever become a song that we will all sing together during church services, but that doesn't make it any less important. Do we truly understand and appreciate the pain and sacrifice Christ made for us?

Rorie - O Come O Come Emmanuel (Christmas)

Rorie has released a Christian Christmas (CCM) track called 'O Come O Come Emmanuel'. Rorie’s one-of-a-kind cover of “O Come O Come Emmanuel” is a beautiful and emotive rendition of the classic Christmas carol. Released just in time for the advent season, Rorie’s song is a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season. While the original song is based on biblical scripture, Rorie’s version is a unique and ethereal take on the carol. Her emotive vocals are at home in the minor key, while her lyrics ring with the hope of the advent season. The track builds from a nostalgic solo piano to a soaring instrumental, culminating in a powerful finish. Whether you’re a fan of Rorie’s music or just enjoy a beautiful Christmas carol, you’ll love her one-of-a-kind cover of “O Come O Come Emmanuel”. Damilola - Deeper (R&B/CHH)

Damilola has released a Christian R&B Hip Hop track called 'Deeper'. Earlier this year, Damilola was having a conversation with some of his friends and they were just talking about what each person felt like God was saying to them in the season. His response was that he believed God was telling him to get deeper in his relationship with Him, which later inspired Damilola to write this song. Damilola shares: 'I hope it blesses everyone who listens to it all around the world. That those who don't have a relationship with God, will begin to and that those who already do, will get 'deeper' in their walk with Him.' The song follows a text in ‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP: “Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].” A TL;DR version of the lyrics: If you say you want to know your Maker, the only way to get closer to Him is to pray and read H

How to Find Joy In Waiting - Advent Lessons from Fox & Foal (Christmas)

Fox & Foal (Brooke & Dave), a folk-inspired worship duo, released their new single 'Emmanuel' on November 18th. The title of the song, 'Emmanuel,' reminds us that no one is too far from God's love. Advent seems to be a time of darkness and anxious anticipation of what is to come, in addition to joy and hope. Seasons of waiting accompany Christ's journey, story, and promise, but Christ is always with us as we wait. Brooke and Dave believe that no matter what season we are in, God is always with us. About Fox & Foal Fox & Foal is a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based folk-inspired worship duo. Dave Williams and Brooke Hobbs first worked together to lead worship at the University of Arkansas Wesley College Ministry. Fox & Foal are drawn to the simplicity of two voices and a guitar, but aren't afraid to go deeper when given the chance. A constant theme in several of their songs is a call to lead their congregation in true surrender to a new life

Leigh Nash - I Need Thee Every Hour - The Tide Acoustic Sessions (CCM)

On Friday, November 18, Leigh Nash shared new music with this track titled 'I Need Thee Every Hour - The Tide Acoustic Sessions'. In this video (below), she performs the well-known song 'I Need Thee Every Hour' acoustically. This song was originally written by Annie Sherwood Hawks in 1872. She wrote it after a religious experience and realized how much she needed God in her life. Hawks was a New York native who began writing at the age of 14 and contributed poems to various newspapers throughout her life. She wrote over 400 hymns in total, but only one—this one—is still sung today. Lowry added music for the hymn as he wrote it down for her. After her husband died, Hawks reflected on how powerful this song was: 'I did not understand at first why this hymn had touched the great throbbing heart of humanity. It was not until long after, when the shadow fell over my way, the shadow of a great loss, that I understood something of the comforting power in the words

Marcello Cordova - Restore Me (CCM)

Marcello Cordova has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'Restore Me'. This is Marcell's first single, called 'Restore Me', released on November 4th, 2022. Marcello didn't intend for the song to be made public or even shared when he wrote it. It was a personal season for him, not having confidence in his direction or in himself as a person. Marcello shares: 'In the midst of people I love I still felt alone. On my knees and in prayer I felt the urge to write what I felt. I cannot explain the feeling I had but I felt that God had his hand on me at that moment. By evening, the song's foundation was born, and after sharing the song with some friends I was encouraged to share it with others that were experiencing similar circumstances..' The key message that Marcell hopes everyone will take away from this song is that God knows our struggles! His prayer is that it blesses you as it did for him. Lyrics Read “Restore Me” by Ma
