Hagar shares: "My gift for songwriting was first given through my dreams in 2008, during a time of trial and tribulation. During this time, I will hear the voices of worshippers singing songs I never heard before. Peace be still' was birthed out of a distressing experience I encountered in 2009. Following a break-in at my home, although nothing was stolen, I was left distraught, angry and fearful. A few days after the incident, I went jogging and simultaneously worshipped and cried out to God for his peace. This song emerged immediately and I recorded it on my phone.
