theCurrent released the song "Take Me Back (Summer Vibes)" Worship is their passion and is the starting point from which everything began. Having all been a part of worship teams growing up, whether it was playing instruments, singing, or eventually writing songs, the members of theCurrent decided worship was a passion they could not keep to themselves. In 2014, TheCurrent was formed. Their home church, City Blessing Church, had been given many words declaring that a "new sound" would be birthed from their church body. They had just been going through a season of endless song writing and a true awakening of their love not only for music, but for encountering God's presence. At first, I was a little surprised that the artist didn't provide any info/story about the track, but when you play the track you quickly realize that a story would have little added value. I just heard the upcoming new release of Nik Alevizos. It is completely different than the track I posted about yesterday. The track is inspired by the cinematic soundtracks of the 80s. It's a slow burner but the second drop is worth the wait. I really love the transition to the finale, where Nik gives it an extra boost. So watch this space... There is some great stuff coming.
