Here's a brief story by Alex about this song: “I Will Praise” came out of one of the darkest seasons of my life. After moving to a new city a year before, it was becoming overwhelming and more than I could handle. I was in a new city where I didn’t know anyone, living alone, I wasn’t leading worship very much at the time, and I had seen a relationship crumble and break before my eyes. I was at one of the lowest points in my life and I remember calling my mom just to be able to hear someone on the other line that I knew. I remember thinking of all I’d lost, left behind, and while I knew that Jesus had brought me there, He fell silent. I was confused. I felt alone.
