We Got Love Project - We Got Love (CCM)

We Got Love Project - We Got Love
We Got Love Project has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'We Got Love'.

Two of the project's contributors, Becca Folkes and Tertia May, lead the charge with the EP title track, and the message that lays central to the project, as they release UKG drop, 'We Got Love', ahead of the release of We Got Love Project's forthcoming EP dropping later this month.

The track begins with a shuffling, syncopated beat, infused with throwback percussive styles, and serves as the backdrop to the uplifting vocals of Becca Folkes and Tertia May. The track, which encourages their listeners with sunshine vibes and feel-good lyricism, relays the poignant message in current times, that no matter what comes our way, 'We Got Love' to rely on.

The collaborative track is a celebration of talent, positively wrapped in a dancefloor filler, and features award-winning UK star Becca Folkes, who has carved an incredible lane in the UK Gospel scene.

We Got Love Project is a collective of over 15 UK and international artists and producers who have come together to create an exclusive EP, making their debut with this single. Dia Day, Sharyn, Still Shadey, CalledOut Music, Annatoria, Becca Folkes, Tertia May, CondoSeven, 678Nath, Bianca Rose, Joshua Luke Smith, Guvna B, Limoblaze, Asha Elia, Tidez, Collistar, Wole Agbaje, and Imprint Worship are among those involved in the project. The 'We Got Love EP,' which includes seven perfectly crafted tracks, is a celebration of British music, talent, and unity, delivering an exceptional collection of tracks that goes beyond highlighting the incredible artistry of all involved, but emphasizes positivity as the message. Guvna B, a multi-award winning artist, elaborates further, 'The last few years have been rough, and music is one of those things that can provide a bit of escapism and hope. All you have to do is switch on the news to realise that there’s not much to smile about. I feel ‘WE GOT LOVE’  is a powerful message and one that helps bring people together', he explained. 'This music is us. Unapologetically British, unapologetically positive. Hip-Hop. R&B, Garage, Afrobeat, the EP's got it all. Our society is quite polarised and different issues can create division. We gotta learn as people to disagree well, hold different opinions, but still have love for each other. That's how we move forward.'

Tracks will be performed live alongside an evening of performances, DJ sets, and great vibes at a star-studded listening party hosted by Capital Xtra's Rob Bruce and BBC Radio 1Xtra's Jeremiah Asiamah before being released across all digital platforms.

Rhett Walker - Man on the Middle Cross (CCM)

Rhett Walker's CCM song, 'Man on the Middle Cross,' is a powerful reflection on the profound impact of God's grace and mercy. The song was inspired by a sermon by Alistair Begg, focusing on the two men crucified alongside Jesus, and the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice. The lyrics vividly describe the scene of three wooden crosses on a hill, with two sinners on either side of Jesus. The first verse expresses the realization that, at times, we all can relate to the sinners on the crosses—feeling guilty, regretful, and undeserving of God's love and forgiveness. The chorus beautifully captures the experience of both sinners, acknowledging that one has been on the left, filled with guilt and regret, while the other has been on the right, always seeking conflict and thinking forgiveness is beyond reach. The overwhelming theme throughout the song is the recognition of God's grace and mercy, which are not earned or deserved but freely given to all. The br
