ASKH - Moolight (CEDM)

ASKH - Moolight
ASKH has released a Christian EDM (CEDM) track called Moolight.

ASKH writes: "The moon and its reflective light, I find to be one of the most beautiful parts of creation. It is both mysterious and calming at the same time, a phenomenon I will never grow tired of. This song 'Moonlight' tries, through its lyrics and instrumentals, to describe some of this magnificence. It is less of a typical praise song to God, and more a song that rejoices in his creation. However, the lyrics clearly state that the moon, being part of the creation, praises God. Most notable therefore are the two last lines of the chorus that goes 'Lord, I see beauty from you tonight; songs of praise in moonlight.'

When I produced 'Moonlight', I wished to produce a song that belonged to the chill house genre. As it turned out, this fitted well with the message of the song. The lyrics and the instrumental were created simultaneously, thus they came to complement each other well. As a final, but a rather crucial part of the process, was the featured artist/vocalist Ingvild Egeland. She perfected this song through her vocals and interpretation of the vocal melody"

Lyrics:

VERSE 1
My emotions dance tonight
'Cause above me there is moonlight
Although surrounded by darkest night
I see silhouettes and speechless delights

CHORUS
A billion stars, fill my sight
My heart increases its might
Lord, I see beauty from you tonight
Songs of praise in moonlight

VERSE 2
My affections move tonight
They're renewed by the beams of moonlight
Once in a while I can feel this height
Living dreams, to enjoy as they ignite

CHORUS
A billion stars, fill my sight
My heart increases its might
Lord, I see beauty from you tonight
Songs of praise in moonlight

Rhett Walker - Man on the Middle Cross (CCM)

Rhett Walker's CCM song, 'Man on the Middle Cross,' is a powerful reflection on the profound impact of God's grace and mercy. The song was inspired by a sermon by Alistair Begg, focusing on the two men crucified alongside Jesus, and the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice. The lyrics vividly describe the scene of three wooden crosses on a hill, with two sinners on either side of Jesus. The first verse expresses the realization that, at times, we all can relate to the sinners on the crosses—feeling guilty, regretful, and undeserving of God's love and forgiveness. The chorus beautifully captures the experience of both sinners, acknowledging that one has been on the left, filled with guilt and regret, while the other has been on the right, always seeking conflict and thinking forgiveness is beyond reach. The overwhelming theme throughout the song is the recognition of God's grace and mercy, which are not earned or deserved but freely given to all. The br
