Baylor Wilson - Jesus Happened (CCM)

Baylor Wilson - Jesus Happened
Baylor Wilson has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Jesus Happened.

Baylor shares her story behind this song:

"Hi there! I'm Baylor Wilson and this is the story behind my new single Jesus Happened.

A few years ago I walked into an auto body car shop, that my friend had invited me to, which was hosting a worship night. I showed up and I was like "Why am I in an auto body car shop? This is so weird!". But I walked in and at that moment I tangibly felt the presence of God for the first time.

I had grown up as a Christian, but more of like a cultural Christian. I didn't really know Jesus for myself yet. I walked in and I literally remember the feeling that God was in the room. The spirit of God was there and the people around me were worshiping Him, and there was peace, joy, and happiness. Christians were actually worshiping in a way that I had never experienced like that before. So that worship night I left completely changed, and my friends from my past started to ask me: "Baylor what happened to you? You look different... you sound different... you literally look joyful!" My short version I that Jesus happened to me and so obviously that turned into this song."

Lyrics:

What happened to you
I hear it all the time
They tell me some things different
In my words and in my eyes

What happened to you
They see it on my face
They’ve got a million questions
All that I can say is

Jesus happened
In a blink of an eye
Every part of my life was changed
Jesus happened
Like a thief in the night
He started taking the lies away
And all my sin was forgiven
The moment I met His grace
That’s when I started living
And all that my heart can say is
Jesus happened

What happened to you
I smile every time
I tell them it’s a miracle like water into wine
Cause everything’s new oh
The old is dead and gone
Redemption is my story
Resurrection is my song

Jesus happened
In a blink of an eye
Every part of my life was changed
Jesus happened
Like a thief in the night
He started taking the lies away
And all my sin was forgiven
The moment I met His grace
That’s when I started living
And all that my heart can say is
Jesus happened
Oh

The grave gave way
To life everlasting
I’m found
I’m free
Raised up from the ashes

Jesus happened
In a blink of an eye
Every part of my life was changed
Jesus happened
Like a thief in the night
He started taking the lies away
And all my sin was forgiven
The moment I met His grace
That’s when I started living
And all that my heart can say is
Jesus happened
Jesus happened
And all that my heart can say is
Jesus happened

Sarah Kroger, Nathan Jess - Belovedness - Live (CCM)

Are you tired of feeling inadequate and alone in your struggles? Have a look at Sarah Kroger's 'Belovedness,' a powerful ballad that reminds us of our worth as children of God. Initially released on Kroger's sophomore album, 'Light,' during the peak of a global healthcare crisis, 'Belovedness' quickly found a following among those battling mental health challenges. The revisited live version, recorded in a barn-turned-studio in the UK countryside, offers a sweet, intimate take on the song, featuring Northern Irish singer-songwriter Nathan Jess on vocals. Kroger wrote the song during a period of personal growth, as she discovered the truth of her identity through reading Henri Nouwen's 'Life of The Beloved.' The lyrics remind us to let go of our past mistakes and the lies we've been told, and to embrace the truth of our belovedness. This song is not only for the Christian community, it is also for anyone struggling with their identity, loo

'Jesus Name' by Seek and Surrender: Embracing the Promise in Prayer

'Jesus Name' by Seek and Surrender is about how powerful it is to speak the name of Jesus. Many Christians will say, 'yes, I know that', but the truth of the matter is that speaking His name is a faith-driven force that is often overlooked as we go through our day-to-day activities.  This song gently reminds us that the truth of Jesus can overpower any lie we face, and reassures us of the freedom we find in Him. It's like having a conversation with your heart and reminding it of hope.  But there is more to this song. It expands on the promises that Jesus made about faith - especially the faith that can move mountains. I have to admit that I have doubts whether my faith can move mountains… I know I still have a way to grow in that. Thankfully, we don't need to to have mastered that level of faith before we see the effects of speaking His name.  Part of the lyrics refer to the passage, 'When you ask, it will be given unto you'. What does that mean? Anythin
