Adrian & Emma-Jean started singing together at various church and charity functions in 2018, when Emma was 9 years old. Together with their friend, Annette Shawe, they were invited to sing at a Cuppa for CANSA event. Here are the lyrics:

When I Follow My Heart ©2008 Brenda M Lane, ASCAP Publishing Company: Lane and Associated Enterprises Publishing (ASCAP)

When I trust, If I trust, I’ll see Your hand
Guiding me, perfectly into Your purpose
I will believe in Your Word

Promises that You give, Anchor my heart
When I trust, Yes, I’ll trust, I’m in Your keeping
Teach me to follow my heart to Your heart

Chorus:
When I follow my heart, When I follow my dreams
When I look to the sky, I am stirred to believe
That Your infinite plan, Holds a journey for me
When I follow my heart, When I follow my dreams
I can soar on Your wings

Wandering and wondering Where I should be
Answers to questions so far from me
But there in the nearness of what makes me, me
was the vision I’d need (Chorus)

Bridge:
Something inside me pulled at my heart
Never before have I felt so alive
Oh and all my convictions were right from the start
When I followed my heart

When I trust, If I trust, I’ll see Your hand
Guiding me, perfectly into Your purpose
Teach me to follow my heart, to Your heart!

When I follow my heart, When I follow my dreams
When I look to the sky, I am stirred to believe
That Your infinite plan, Holds a journey for me
When I follow my heart, When I follow my dreams
I can soar on Your wings
When I follow my heart, When I follow my dreams
I can soar on Your wings.
